You will either have a degree, quite possibly but not essentially in computer science and will have demonstrated an interest and aptitude for computer programming.

You don't have to have worked in software development in - we will provide full training.  But you must have a good understanding of what you believe the basics to be.

Your attitude to coding challenges

If you like to carefully explain why things can’t be done, then this is not going to be the job for you. On the other hand, if you have the maturity and communication skills to assess requirements and suggest better ways, then we’ll work well together.

The bottom line will be your can-do attitude, with the user’s experience at the heart of everything you do.

The future

This is a new team we're putting together to outsource software development for others.  Last time we put a software development team together in Nairobi it grew from 6 to 50, providing world-leading software still used around the world.

Process is at the heart of what we do.

While small and informal, we work within a defined structure, proven to deliver what we need in a timely manner.

Location

Initially, we'll all work in a co-working location in Nairobi, so we can get to know each other and we can show you the ropes.  But once you're delivering reliably, and we've established good communication channels, we'll be happy for you to work from home - if you want to.  It's not where you work that get's us going, it's how.

The starting salary will be competitive for the position.  

Full on-the-job training will be given, and the right applicants can be looking to progress rapidly and be earning a lot more as they take on more responsibilities in the near future.
